Little Servants in the African Mission

Zambia: The Little Servants of the Divine Providence (LSDP) sisters run a Providence Home in the Archdiocese of Lusaka, Zambia in Southern Africa which started in the year 2016. LSDP sisters serving for the 41 physically and mentally challenged people are staying at the Providence Home. Most of them are orphans suffering from epilepsy and different kinds of disabilities. Five among them are completely paralyzed. The relatives or the caretakers are not able to give them proper medications or physiotherapy because of the poverty due to unemployment prevalent in the country. Sisters give them proper medications and physiotherapy and a better living condition, considering their physical, spiritual and mental growth.

A special program for children will be organized every Saturday. Around 300 children would be participating in the programme. The program consists of sharing the Word of God through stories, games, action songs and sharing food for the children at the end of the program that they have. LSDP sisters in Zambia do their mission depending solely on the Divine Providence that emanates from the Holy Eucharist and incessant prayer.
